I’m going to visit the Peak District in UK in this coming summer, and enjoy looking at the paper maps or Google map on computer screen sometimes. And the names of the places … Mam Tor, Stanage Edge, Cave Dale… oh how these names look fascinating to me!

The new litter box situation seems to be fine except, I got the wrong litter box. It's an inch too wide. Skinnier replacement arrives today. Biggie seemed oddly reluctant but he went in the morning and did his biz and that's all I can ask. Julio, of course, thinks it's his new play house.

The sun is blasting this morning and my new shades are all 'not so fast there Mr. Glare!'. I love my new shades. They are also giving me the gift of Amazon Prime. Amazon uses a special process that makes most of their shows very dark. On my television with the shades up, in daylight or even at night with lights on, a night scene is just black. Just black. With audio. But with the shades down and the lights off, turns out, there is actually something to see. So I'm catching up on Prime stuff.

Today is menu day. And Tuesday is the 10th. Last day to use up this month's meal money. Depending on what the menu looks like for next week, I may make another food bank donation.

I am enjoying the Trump/Musk breakup - the two best were 'It wouldn't be Pride month without two queens breaking up on social media' and 'SLOW DOWN! or we're going to run out of popcorn!'

No big plans for today. I am doing some reorganizing of my utility room now that there is some space. I need some more command hooks to and I need to mount the hand held vac. So probably I'll get all that done today. And knit more Pride monsters. I'm still photographing each one but they all look the same some no more posting anywhere until I get back to dolls.

It's supposed to be hot hot today and this weekend - 80's - which is hot hot for us. So for sure, I won't be going outside. But, that's not exactly breaking news since I rarely go outside anyway.

However, the Timber Ridge staff has been working all week on cleaning up and arranging the patio furniture and getting the outdoor cookers (that anyone can use) ready for action. There will be old people in the sun this week, I'll bet.

It's finally Friday! Whoohoo! It's a short day at work for me, which I'm looking forward to, because the rest of my day is busy as hell. First, work til 11am, then I go to get my hair cut and dyed. I'm a little nervous about this, but I'm sure it'll be fine. The person I'm going to was in the same shop as my former hairdresser (the one who died suddenly) and they do good work. I'm not asking for anything particularly tough. I'm a little worried about borking my back up, but I'll be fine. Then, its home to relax for a few minutes, then we drive 45minutes to get Jess' new computer. Then, we go grab dinner, and then head home. It's a lot, but it'll be good.

Unfortunately, it's supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow, which just figures. Tomorrow we shall go down to get the frozen cat cremated. Once that's done, we have a bowling party tomorrow night. With my back, I won't be bowling, but I want to go to see people from work.

Sunday, we have games, which will be fun. I'm hoping the weather holds off tonight while I'm driving in the dark. The bowling is at 4pm, so I won't be out too late on Saturday.

Yesterday was busy, but not horrible. I had one spicy patient, who was scheduled incorrectly by a team member who is no longer with the team, so it fell to me to reschedule. They were not happy, but y'know, it's nothing personal, and I don't actually care that she's upset.

The other day, I went a little insane on pastries from Paris Baguette, a new bakery that opened in Towson. Holy shit, y'all, it was so good. The pastries are light and delicious and I will definitely be ordering from there again.

Tonight, since I'll be getting my hair cut, Jess is going to take care of dinner, which will be chicken. It's the first chicken I've had since the money came in. I'm sure it'll be good, but a little part of me was really enjoying the steaks.

Oh well, maybe more steak on Monday. We'll see.

I now have completed the trifecta of big box stores. I reupped my Costco membership and went ahead and got BJs, too. BJs had the creamer I wanted, and I've always been a fan of their fruit and veg. And Costco has Gimbap, and other ethnic foods that the others don't. And Sam's is cheap.

Okay, time for me to get my shit together. I still do have three hours of work to do today. Everyone have an excellent Friday!

Victory!

I pulled the Litter Robot out and disassembled it and still the pieces where too big for our shoot. I found a dumpster down in the garage and a push cart so I came back up here, loaded up and unloaded down there. Done. Probably broke a dozen rules but fuck 'em. It's done. I cleaned up the area in the utility room and the rug that catches the litter spills is now in the washer.

Then I went to aqua fit. I did not want to go. It was better than those damn machines and, honestly, I knew Martha would check (which she did since her yoga class is in the gym at the same time). The water was very cold when I got in but, really, it was very lovely in less than a minute. Invigorating. I last took the class a year and a half ago. Now they have music which makes such a difference. And it was good and it was hard. And I thought it was 30 minutes but turned out to be 45! My arms are going to be very mad tomorrow but I'm going to do it again next Tuesday.

I bought a Litter Genie from Amazon and it came with a giant dent in it. So I returned it and bought the plastic one which isn't arriving until tomorrow. PetCo didn't have one but, hey, Pet Smart does AND if I order online and go get it, I save 20% - plus it's cheaper than Amazon anyway. So score score score. Cancel Amazon. Now I'm going to get dressed, take my two Amazon returns and go to PetSmart.

The utility room looks so much nicer and tidier without that gynormous Litter robot.

Martha came over yesterday for an impromptu visit and to pick up a couple more Pride monsters. She said that there was a new guy teaching the aqua fit class and since the water was cold, attendance was low. Doh! I could/should do that instead of those stupid machines. This seemed like a much better idea yesterday than it does this morning, but, I think I'll go ahead and try it.

The class is Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30. Our volleyball game ends at 8. I tried doing both once but 30 minutes is too long to wait in between. Also I was starving and 30 minutes was not enough time to dry off, find something to eat and get back. So I never went back.

It's just after 7 now so I think I'll use the time til class to dismantle the little robot.

I now have two Amazon returns so I think I'll quit talking about it and just do it. I did get my car license tab actually onto the car before I lost it. Go me.

Oh and last night I remembered house insurance. Of course there is no way to cancel online so hello telephone tree. The whole thing was only moderately painful. Very interesting, tho... This is Progressive and, while she did ask why I was canceling, she made zero effort to find out if I needed new insurance for my new living situation. I should probably get a renters policy but not with her, I guess. She is sending me $100 in refund which is lovely.

I was able to see that GeoffTheFinanceGuy was good at his word. When I log onto my account, I can see the correct amount for my Timber Ridge bill is set to go out today and land in my checking account where Timber Ridge will automatically come get it this weekend. Sweet. So amazingly lovely after all those months of money stress, to have it all settled now.

Guess I'll go get started on the dirty work before I head to the pool.

Today I worked at home. After the recent some days with quite changeable weather, today it’s fine and a bit windy. The sunshine is already strong though the humidity must be low, for it’s quite comfortable in the shade :) The plants are shining in the sun, I like their mild green colors...

A happy cat :)

It's Thursday! We've almost made it to Friday!

Yesterday was a momentous day. The house is officially sold. The albatross is gone. The house that felt like my personal antagonist. (By the end, when there were problems, it felt like it was having problems at me personally.) Perversely, I'm having feelings about it.

I feel relieved, because it's over, but also a bit sad. It had been my grandparent's house since before I was born. We lived there until I was two with them, and then went to the apartments, which were literally around the corner. Then, when I was 17, we moved back in to take care of my grandmother. I'm 52 now, so that's better than half my life tied up in one place.

I remember it how it was, sparkling clean. All the years of Christmas morning, going over to open our pile of presents in front of my parents and grand parents, followed by the parade of family and friends. And all the animals that house saw. Tammy, Freddy, Sandy, Tigger, Flakey, Willow, Millie, Gracie, Mao, Samwise, Koty, Kyan, Tucker down to our current pair, Boodle and Yoda. All those memories. So many good things are bound up in those four walls.

But lately, there's been more bad things than good. Watching my grandmother die, my mother's death, Dad's slow deterioration. The flood in the basement, the heat being turned off for three long painful winters. The constant fear that if something happened, we wouldn't be able to afford it. The fear every rain or snow that this would be the time the roof leaked. It was a constant stressor. And with Dad taking up most of our time and energy, cleaning wasn't even a vague possibility. We spent our lives in constant filth, and no one had the spoons left to do anything about it.

Since we moved, so many physical symptoms have eased up. my asthma has improved, my anxiety, though still there, has gotten better.

Still, I feel wistful for what was and for now, what will never be again. I hope the new owners do an amazing job of refurbishing it. I hope it holds another family soon, and I hope they have good years in it. I'm just going to miss the good things that we had.

Tomorrow, I get off work early, and go to the hair dresser to see if she can make my hair look cool. It's way too long at the moment, but I haven't been able to afford to get it cut. I'm also getting it colored, because a vacation from gray sounds lovely. I will post a picture tomorrow, once it's done.

Then, we go to pick up Jess' new computer, and have dinner, and then come home. We're trying out Rodizigo Grill, which is an all you can eat Brazillian steakhouse. I'm looking at it as a possibility for the get together in August. It's a little cheaper than Fogo, so I want to see how the food stacks up.

Okay, time for me to get myself together. Everyone have an amazing Thursday!

Coconut, Lima beans and exercise

Things I do not like. At all. Although, I do like the smell of coconut. The texture does me in, tho. I went down to the gym this morning and did 20 minutes on the elliptical. I did not enjoy it.

I know that one day, maybe after I die, they will announce that exercise wasn't all that good for you after all. OR They will have a pill you can take instead.

I watch ad supported TV only for news and baseball so my exposure is limited but I do know that the supplement game is big and growing. Young adults swearing their liver is happier with XXX or YYY are truly the thing now. My liver is unmoved, BTW. And everyone who takes drugs for heart and diabetes will be singing and dancing up a storm. Also, not new, men can't get it up but there is actually a pill for that and all you have to do is sign up for a free account and unlimited sex is yours. So don't think those ads are wasted on me!! Also this is why it is well worth it to me to pay extra for the ad free versions of streaming services.

I have decided, to deep six the Litter Robot. It's too big and too fiddly and I know it's going to quit any day now. So I'm going to just pull the plug. We've had a lovely run but it's time to go back to the old fashioned litter box. Simple. Plus this means I can go back to the light weight litter. Amazon is bringing the new box today. I'll set it up in the same little room and run both for a day or two.

I got the final bill for condo electricity today. $7.25. The Title Company collected $250 to pay this giant bill. So I am expecting a nice refund, lordknowswhen.

I got the sticker for my license plate renewal and I need to get it down and onto the licence plate before I lose it and forget about it. I will be doing that today. No baseball until 4.

First I need a shower. I hate getting sweaty so much. See paragraph 1 above.

Today after work I went to some public office to get the new passport. I had used the old one for 10 years and its validity ended in May, so some weeks ago I applied for the new one.

Compared to the last one, the photo of myself on the new one looks - quite -older X( But, anyway now I can travel abroad again with it X)

You may get nothing but Ghost lyrics between now and July. I'm trying to learn the words to the new songs, but it's coming slowly. But the music is super catchy so I'm sure I'll get there.

Ghost is weird. They bill themselves as Satanic metal, but and they have a few songs that bear that out, but most of their songs are more pop or hair metal. And despite the lead singer saying that the new album is "darker," I'm finding it really hopeful. And as I said, their music as a whole is very catchy. We've got 1 month to concert #1. I can't wait.

Day two post back scritches, and my lower back is still peeved. I dislike it. IT's not as bad as yesterday, but still cranky. We'll see if today is the kind of "work things out" cranky or the "get worse as the day goes on" pissed off.

I've got some good steaks to cook, so I'm hoping for the former.

Tomorrow is a quiet day--nothing much going on. Friday night after work, we need to drive down to get Jess' computer from best buy. Then we're going to go forth and get a late dinner. It's a fairly long drive, so we're best waiting til my sister gets home at 6 to go fetch.

I got a reminder on facebook that 8 years ago on this day, we went to see a wrestling PPV. It was fun, but nothing we felt the need to do again.

This weekend is pretty busy. I've got a haircut and we've got to pick up the computer Friday night, the appointment to drop off Mao for cremation after a decade at least, and then off to a work party at the bowling alley. I will probably not be bowling, owing to the bad back, but I will go and have snacks and visit with people.

Sunday is less busy, with just two games, one that I'm DMing and then one that [personal profile] poisontaster is.

I'm definitely going to be sleeping in on Sunday.

Oh, and *finally* we're closing on the house. No more albatross around our neck.

And on that note, I'm going to go consider the merits of pants. Everyone have a wonderful Wednesday!

This might work

I might have a repeatable routine going here. I woke up when Biggie said it was time. Had coffee and toast. Put on yesterday's pants and Tshirt, grabbed my stuff and went to the gym. The machine part of the gym is just on the other side of the pool from the windows and the sun is killer in the morning. So at least I remembered my sunglasses. BUT I also discovered that two of the machines are in the shade that early in the morning. Sweet. So today I did a kind of a bicycle thing. It had a bicycle seat (ouch) but also a seat back but it was vertical. 20 mins.

I did watch my friend, Holly, swim laps. Now, Holly is always bitching about the cold even when it isn't. So how in the heck was she swimming in the cold? I realized that while I could be swimming, it would not be fun because of the sun so bike was fine.

I'm now home and it's not yet 8. I'm all sweaty but since I wore yesterday's clothes, I can just step into the shower and then get dressed for the day. I think this will work for a routine - at least until we get volleyball going.

Today is the day the new girl moves in. Her name is on her door and her welcome sign is up. I do no envy her one single bit. My move in day was a nightmare that I do not care to ever revisit.

Today is also house cleaning day. I will probably use that time to make my latest Amazon return.

And more Pride robots/mini monsters. I finished up one last night and changed my mind about how to add the arms. I went to snip off the arm and snipped a hole in the monster. ARUGH. I performed emergency surgery and I think I was able to save him. I'll try new arms today.

But, first a shower.

IT's Tuesday and I have Regrets. I wet for the ASMR back scratching last night, and it was lovely. Relaxing and a little ticklish, but very good. (I need to get some of those little brushes, I loved them.). However, towards the end of my appointment, I noticed that my lower back was a little annoyed, and when I tried to get off the table, it turned out that it was SUPER pissed.

It's still angry today, and work is going to suck. I'll manage, but ouch.

We're officially closing on the house tomorrow, which is nice, I'll have to go over tonight to get a few more things, and then we'll be free!

There's really not a ton of stuff at this point, but I want to do a last run through and make sure I have everything. The most important thing is our documents. We need to grab the handful of stuff that's still relevant out of Dad's file cabinet. We're also picking up the frozen body of our dead cat, Mao. He died like 10 years ago, and we put him in there so we could cremate him when we could afford it. And somehow, we just never did. So now, we're going to do that. He deserves to be on our bookshelf o'ashes.

I'm not sure if I'm going to the farmers market today, we'll see how my back is feeling.

I did the post yesterday for the opening of CONfab's registration. It's virtual this year, held between Discord and zoom. It's a lot of fun, held between 10/17-10/19. If anyone is interested the registration link can be found here.. For more information about the con, you can check out the main website at https://confabcon.com/

Okay, time to go forth and take some fucking motrin. Everyone have an amazing Tuesday!

Now early summer. Soon we'd get into the annual rainy season, then the real summer will come after it. The weather is changeable now. Sunny, cloudy, rain, wind... the temperature is also up and down, it's difficult to know what to wear :(

When I go out, walk in the residential area, sometimes the subtle sweet scent of flower strike my nose. Maybe gardenia. When I notice it, I think this is also a nice time of an year though the weather is not good X)

The gardenia in our garden.

Now fish mint is in full bloom, and I don't dislike its scent also (some people d not like it). And their flower is cute :)

My watch

I have a Pixel watch that I really like but once in a while I really really like it. Yesterday, when I walked into the Dollar Store, I realized it was not on my wrist. Fuck. I went back to the car. No joy. I had been in the apartment, then tossed something into the trash and then got into the car. So there were only a few places, I hoped, it could have fallen off.

Inside the store, I remembered to fire up 'where are my devices'. I selected the watch and it said the watch was right there... at the dollar store. So back to the car and, sure enough, in the door pocket where I had reached in to get a tissue, it was. WHEW. (When I got home, I traded that OEM band for one of my Google ones - no chance it will fail.)

This morning, I was peeing when the phone rang. The phone was in the living room. I could see on my watch that it was the finance guy. My watch lets me answer but I only tried it once in test a long time ago. But, I hit answer and heard him and told him to hang on a second and he said ok and then I even had time to go get my earphones and turn them on. It was perfect.

I do love this watch. I have an insurance policy for it. But, I just checked, and I'm screwed if it falls off and I don't find it. No more OEM bands.

I did 20 minutes on the bike. I hated it but I did it. Now I'm sweaty. So shower time.

I've already talked to my finance guy today. He's two hours ahead so nice to get that done. He's going to send me proposals of what to do with the money from the condo. I wish he'd grasp the concept of 'whatever you think is fine is fine' but, he's at least very easy to talk to and gets stuff done. I am so glad I jumped to him from my other guy. And, soon, everything will be decided and on autopilot.

I think I'm going to throw on some sweaty clothes and go ride a bike in the gym. My elliptical muscles are still sore from Friday and Saturday. I also have to deliver Martha's doll. And I made one for Julie who runs the beauty parlor. She's always very nice to me and very fun to talk to. She asked Joan to keep an eye out and snag a turquoise and pink one for her. So I have both in bags ready to deliver.

I ran out of pride colors so I tried some old Red Heart worsted that I did have in the right colors. Some of their stuff is fine but this is really for weaving and it's a bitch to knit with. Plus it's too big. So this morning, I'll pop out and see if I can find some Pride yarn in the right size. The pride robot that I put on the shelf last night had been snagged up this morning.

Not baseball today. But, I am reading a good book - NightShade - book 1 of a new series by Michael Connelly. So plenty of entertainment.

And somehow, we're back to Monday.

I had an excellent weekend. Saturday and Sunday were both filled with my favorite things, and while I am sad that I don't have another day to fuck around, I'm okay with work today. It's bound to be insane, but it's okay.

It's going to be a busy Monday, but in a good way. I've got work til 4:30, then an appointment for an AMSR back scratching at 5, and then back home for a psych appointment at 6:30pm.

https://www.instagram.com/fitzhairstudio/reel/DJzmxavy1S-/

The morning isn't getting off to the best start, as the dog has begun acting like an asshole. My sister insisted that he had to go, so I took him out, despite the fact that the pain meds haven't kicked in and I am hurting. He'd drag her down the stairs. No matter what she thinks.

I walked him up and down the apartments, and he did absolutely nothing. Then I gimped back in and now I'm pissy. Both with my sister, who wouldn't listen to me when I said that he absolutely did not have to go, and the asshole dog.

I was going to take a shower, but I don't feel like I can go in there, because the moment I did, the dog barked at a noise outside.

The dog is frustrating the hell out of me lately. He's such a sweet baby, but he's also neurotic and a total asshole.

Maybe this weekend, we'll take him for temperament testing at the doggy daycare.

Okay, anyhow. Sunday was fun. I had D&D, and then we made cheese fondue. I think I need a different recipe, because it stayed really thick, but it still tasted amazing. The hot pot still owns my heart, though.

Tonight, I think we're going to have carry out, and then tomorrow when I only have the farmer's market, I'm going to cook steaks. I have two Tbones, and an enormous tomahawk ribeye to cook, and I'm looking forward to it.

I'm debating what I want to have for breakfast now. I usually have a couple of hard boiled eggs, but right now there is so much food in my fridge that it's hard to decide.

Okay, time to get myself together for work. Everyone have the best Monday you can Monday!

This week, the "currently making" part of this update makes a comeback! Yay!!

As I explained in detail in a previous post, my week was pretty hectic, so I took advantage of the weekend to catch up on my shows. But I also wanted to make at least a little progress on my secret craft project… and I did!

Currently making

I already have the pattern, and now all that's left is transferring it to the fabric so I can start. Though I’ll admit, this is going to be a test run because I’ve been going back and forth on the background color I want to use. I’ll try my usual style: black fabric with colorful contrasting thread. I’ll see how it turns out, but I think it might look better with a pale blue or even white background, though I don’t love embroidering on white fabric… If I make more progress during the week, I’ll share photos.

Currently reading

  • SVSSS Vol. 2 - Chapter 10

Currently watching
  • Winter Begonia (Chinese drama) – Weekly, weekends – 29/49 episodes
  • Break Up Service (Thai drama) – Weekly, Mondays – 8/12 episodes
  • Leap Day (Thai drama) – Weekly, Tuesdays – 8/12 episodes
  • My Stubborn (Thai BL drama) – Weekly, Sundays – 7/12 episodes
  • Boys in Love (Thai BL drama) – Weekly, Sundays – 7/12 episodes
  • The Ex-Morning (Thai BL drama) – Weekly, Thursdays – 2/10 episodes
  • The Bangkok Boy (Thai BL drama) – Weekly, Saturdays – 2/12 episodes

I’m really enjoying SVSSS, and I think part of it is that, despite it being one of the popular novels, I’ve been really good at avoiding spoilers. So I know the names of the main characters (some of them) and who the main couple is, but beyond that, I have no idea what’s going to happen or how. Plus, I love the meta-literary aspect, the commentary through Shen Yuan/Peerless Cucumber’s self-awareness, lol. It makes me think a lot about hypothetical scenarios where I’d be transported into different kinds of books and how I’d react. Like, what if I suddenly found myself in a gothic novel? How would my knowledge of the canon affect my survival in that world? Or, say, in The Witcher novels... as someone who doesn’t believe in the supernatural, getting dropped into a universe full of ghosts and monstrous creatures? Yeah, I wouldn’t last long, haha. But anyway, it’s fun how much this book makes me think.

I also wonder if I’d be enjoying it as much if this were the first novel of its kind I’d ever read. At this point, I’m at least familiar with some of the tropes and elements of the narrative. Maybe I haven’t read the exact type of novel Shen Yuan gets transported into, but having read Devil Venerable Also Wants to Know before, I know they exist, and that their protagonists would probably annoy me, lol. Though one of the fun things about SVSSS is how Shen Qingqiu’s intervention completely changes certain aspects of Luo Binghe. Maybe I’m just rambling, but I’m having fun.

I just finished episodes 27, 28, and 29 of Winter Begonia, and they were intense. I cried during all three, though for different reasons. I adore Charmaine Sheh, and I love that Fan Xiang’er is such a complex character. Sometimes she frustrates me, but I can’t help feeling some sympathy for her, especially since she’s not some helpless damsel. Cheng Fengtai also drives me crazy sometimes, but in these episodes, he got into trouble for helping others, and well… I can’t deny I enjoy seeing him in uncomfortable situations. I also loved seeing him emotionally wrecked… frustrated, heartbroken, miserable. What can I say? I have a weakness for watching pretty men suffer (in fiction). I absolutely adore Shang Xirui, he’s THE character, and I love him. But yeah, these episodes made me cry. Not that it’s news… I’m an easy crier, lol.

Yesterday, I caught up with The Ex-Morning and Boys in Love, and today I watched this week’s episodes of Boys in Love and My Stubborn.

My Stubborn is turning out to be so much fun, and in the seven weeks it’s been airing (wait, what? Almost two months already? When did that happen?), every single episode has had at least one NC scene. But that’s not even its main appeal, it’s just genuinely entertaining to watch Sorn hopelessly obsessed, in love, and head-over-heels for Jun (whose name I’ve seen spelled at least three different ways in the subtitles…) without being able to say it explicitly (well, using words… because otherwise it’s been pretty explicit… okay okay I’ll see myself out) and how their relationship evolves (even if it’s just a little bit at a time). They’re both stubborn in their own ways, lol. And Sorn is a walking red flag, but he’s got his own charm. I’m dying to see him beg and suffer for Jun, but we’ll see. Sorry, this man totally brings out my mean side.

Boys in Love is still so cute, and I really like how they handle certain themes, like Mon’s rebelliousness and his mother’s concern. Sometimes it’s frustrating, I’ll admit, but that’s exactly why I like it… it reflects how being a teenager is complicated, how parenting a teenager is complicated, and how navigating that relationship isn’t always easy. I also love Shane’s internal conflict, Kit’s expectations, and how they deal with the struggles of their new relationship. Honestly, I didn’t think I’d get hooked on this teen-themed series because I usually prefer shows about adults dealing with adult problems (even in BL-land, which is maybe why I connect more with Japanese series in that sense), but I really like it. It’s a great Sunday watch. Plus, I love Papang, and even though Nut and Tan’s relationship is a subplot, I’m invested. In today’s episode, I couldn’t help but relate to Tan’s insecurities… I just wanted to hug him. I’d love it if they got their own spin-off series someday (though maybe that’s asking too much.)

Leap Day and Break Up Service are still really entertaining, though Leap Day gives me a bit of anxiety, lol. It’s stressful because so many bad things happen, and the main characters keep narrowly escaping death. But it’s made me appreciate Pond and Gun even more. I like seeing these guys in something different from BL, and I also wish they didn’t always have fixed pairings for BL shows. But hey, wishful thinking. I know that system sells, and I’d be lying if I said I don’t absolutely adore the mascots, for example.

Finally, The Ex-Morning is really growing on me! I love that the couple starts off as exes with unresolved baggage (we don’t know why they broke up yet…), and it’s so obvious they’re both still hurting even though the love is clearly still there. Now they’re forced to work together on a TV show to salvage Padtaphi’s (Krist) reputation… and career. This series is my introduction to KristSingto, and I have to admit, I love watching actors in their 30s. Also, can we talk about Singto? So unfairly attractive. That black high-neck sweater in the first episode? Chef’s kiss.

I’m seriously considering waiting until The Bangkok Boy finishes so I can binge it, but I haven’t decided yet. I’m already way behind, and I haven’t had much time. Sometimes I feel like I’m juggling too many things, so every now and then, I have to let one drop :(

Anyway, that’s the weekly update!

This was a feel-good movie, the typical sort of movie where a teacher inspires a class of rowdy kids. I’d heard about this movie long ago because the music was popular with my school’s choir. Simple feel-good story with nice music.

Spoilers.

I woke up SO fucking sore today. My head and back are just thoroughly pissed off. I took some meds, ad I may lay down for a few minutes. I had trouble gettin to sleep, until after 2 am. I'm very tired. fortunately, I don't have anything to do until 1pm and that's game.

Yesterday was an awesome. My back was behaving, and then I got up and futzed around, then went to go get a pedicure. I opted for the Spa pedicure. and had my legs rubbed until they were limp noodles. Then, we played Arvandor, which was a particularly awesome game. The team dealt with the reality of the Dracolich, and searched for clues, which had some truly outstanding role play. I was very proud of mu babies. They've come a long way from Dragn Heist and Mad Mage. It was really well done, and I'm deeply curioius to see what the players will do next.

The, I began setting the table with the assumption that my new hot pot would come, and lo, it did! One side, we used mushroom soup broth. Very tasty, very mild. On the other, we used Little Sheep hot hot pot broth. I was assured that it was meant to be the less spicy alternative! I may well have been, but it was still pretty spicy.

I had gotten all my Asian groceries from a online retailer named <href="https://www.sayweee.com/en">"Weee!". I really liked them, they have every type of asian you can imagine. They had the hot plate prepared meat, wihch was lovely, made my life easier. and easy mix broths.

All in all, it was a lovely sucess, with delicious food and sauces. I overbought a bit, so we're definitely going to be doing it again. soon. I just need to get another box of mild soup. I'm thinking a nice Miso this time.

After that, we took Yoda on a nice walk, and then came hom. It was the perfect day. Tonight, we shall have cheese fondue for dinner! I stocked up with sourdough bread and granny smith apples. I grated my cheeses, and got some white wine to add to the pot. I'm hoping this works as well as the hot pot did, and is tasty. We shall see.
First, game at 1pm. That'll finish up at 4, at which point, I'll start the garlic and wine in the fondue pot.

Tonight, we may go to IKEA to look at a cabinet for a potential pantry for our kitchen. We desperately need one, as the cupboards are jam packed. I'm hopeful. I'll probably do a bit of a walkthrough and see if there's anything else we want for our apartment. I wouldn't mind a squeezie for the bathroom mirror. And maybe a new kitchen rug.

Monday will be busy. I'm going to be busting my ass all day, then immediately afterwards, I'm going to go get my AMSR Scratch therapy at Fitz Studios. https://www.tiktok.com/@fitzhairstudio/video/7504892058067422494?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc&web_id=7320965213670114859

I've never done this, so I'm curious how it'll be.

After that, I hurry back to have my monthly check in with my psych doctor. Then, sleep.

But first, today! Right now, I am a giant sloth on the couch. Everyone have an amazing Sunday!!
